Athens Life
Its been non stop since we got here, what with frisbee golf, ultimate, fishing, bike rides on my new shiny red Giant, $2 beer, tennis, hanging out with a bunch of people and playing with Mira! We unpacked into our little duplex which is in a real nice area, super close to the intramural fields, downtown, running trails, tennis, big sports complex, lake, dog park, coffee shops etc.
Ive been on a few days rounds with an 82 year old farm vet which has been fun, and Daves just finished his 2nd week at the botanical gardens, which hes really enjoying and finds quite relaxing sometimes! We tried going to Vineyard church on Sunday and we liked it so will go back next week. They have a pick up frisbee game every Sunday after church- bonus!

Goodbye to the 'Natti!
Well we packed up our stuff, said goodbye to Lingo and headed down South. We picked up the newest addition to our family on the way- a sweet abandoned pup we called Mira. We got to Athens just in time to watch the annual bike race - 40 laps around the downtown area. It was a really fun introduction to our new home. We were not in Georgia long before we headed to a cabin in Toccoa for a frisbee tournament with Travis and Liz.

Leaving for the land of Peaches
Hello everybody,
This is the first post in a while. We've had a cold, long winter here in the nati, with some good times and a few bad. We are writing this post to let everyone know that we are moving to Athens, Georiga- land of sun and peaches!
Our good friend Graham just hooked Dave up with a low paying but hopefully very informative and fun job at the botanical gardens, where he will be maintaining the forests and gardens, and napping and sunbathing too.
I just got accepted into Athens Technical College where I am going to do a two year program to become a vet tech..basically a nurse for animals. I'll also hopefully find a part time job working in some stables down there.
We are renting a wee duplex 591 Pinecrest Dr. and also possibly one of the most exciting details- we are getting a dog! We have called her Mira, meaning look in Spanish, also the first and last syllable of 'mi hermana de la terra'. She looks to be part dalmation, pitt and pointer.. but who knows.
Pete and Fio found her, she was abandoned by the Hicks' next door neighbours.
We are really looking forward to a new time in our lives and make the final move on wednesday!
Much love to all
